Weddings at Bled Castle

Regarding the availability of dates at our wedding location, please first contact us via email at weddings@zkbled.si. If you wish to have a civil wedding, after receiving a reply for the date and time, you will also need to arrange with the Radovljica Administrative Unit. Civil wedding ceremonies at our location are held on Fridays and Saturdays. At Bled Castle, we also offer the option for symbolic wedding ceremonies and vow renewals.

The castle escort will greet the guests, groom, and bride at the Bled Castle parking lot, then escort them to the well on the lower terrace. This is followed by the reception of the count and countess, who will invite the guests to the chosen wedding location. The official part of the ceremony lasts about 20 minutes. After signing the marriage certificate, there will be a sabre opening of sparkling wine, and additional services such as a visit to the wine cellar, the castle printing press, or a medieval program are available.

Wedding ceremonies at Bled Castle take place in three locations:

• On the Upper terrace with the Lapidarium,
• In the Knights' Hall,
• In the Castle Park.

The Knights' Hall can accommodate up to 100 people, with 70 seating and the remaining guests standing. If the ceremony takes place under the Lapidarium, a limited number of chairs are also available on the Upper terrace by the Lapidarium.

At Bled Castle, we always have the Knights' Hall prepared, so you don’t need to worry in case of bad weather.

At Bled Castle, we offer two wedding packages – an intimate wedding package for up to ten people and a classic wedding package for up to 100 guests.

As a cultural monument of national importance, Bled Castle is primarily intended for visitors who purchase a ticket, and access to all areas of the castle must be available to them during the castle's opening hours. Complete privatization of the castle is unfortunately not possible; however, we will fence off your chosen wedding location to ensure as much privacy as possible. The castle staff will do their best to minimize disturbances from visitors.

After the ceremony, you can continue the celebration at the Restaurant Bled Castle, where the Hiša Jezeršek team ensures an exceptional culinary experience. You can choose from festive dinners, cocktail receptions, or casual gatherings. The reception can also take place on the castle terrace, which offers a stunning view of Lake Bled and its surroundings.

Bled Castle offers a wide range of additional services to make your wedding day even more unforgettable. Additional services include:

• A performance by the entire castle staff with dancing, sword fighting, and fire shows,
• A 7- or 9-liter bottle of sparkling wine,
• A print of the marriage certificate at the castle printing press,
• Filling a wine bottle at the castle cellar.
