The exhibition of works by Huberto Široka returns to Bled Castle. The Bitenc Hall will showcase a selection of original jewellery and silversmithing works spanning more than four decades of the artist’s creative work and revealing his distinctive approach to materials, forms, and details.
The exhibition of works by Huberto Široka returns to the Bled audience following its successful presentation at Bled Castle last year. The artist, who was named Face of Bled in 2025, will once again be presented through a selection of works highlighting more than four decades of his creative career.
The exhibition will showcase a diverse body of original jewellery and silversmithing works created from 1985 to the present day. The selected exhibits guide visitors through different creative periods and artistic cycles, while revealing Široka’s distinctive approach to materials, forms, and details. His jewellery goes beyond its functional purpose and becomes an independent form of artistic expression.
The exhibition thus offers an insight into the artist’s long creative journey, during which he has shaped silver and other materials into distinctive and often deeply personal visual stories.
In 2025, a monograph entitled Huberto Široka – Silversmith and Jewellery Maker was also published, offering a comprehensive overview of his life, artistic journey, and body of work.
The exhibition will be on view in the Bitenc Hall at Bled Castle from 18 September to 1 November 2026.
