Castle Grape Harvest - A Tribute to Tradition

The Castle Grape Harvest at Bled Castle once again brings together winemaking tradition, ethnological heritage, and the local community. Together, we will raise a toast to the new harvest and present Mladovita wine, produced from grapes grown on descendants of the oldest vine.

A visit to Bled Castle and the castle park can be combined with a pleasant walk or bike ride. Numerous walking trails lead to us, from Rikli’s path, the path from Slovenski trg, to the trail across Višce.

At Bled Castle, a descendant of the famous Old Vine from Lent in Maribor has been growing since 2011. Despite the demanding conditions at the castle, it bears fruit every year and remains a living symbol of winemaking tradition.

Come and see how abundant this year’s harvest will be on Saturday, 26 September 2026, at 11:00 a.m. on the upper castle terrace.

The traditional castle grape harvest will once again bring together ethnological heritage and the local community. Mladovita wine, produced from grapes grown on descendants of the Old Vine, will also be presented.
