Join us for this year's grape harvesting at Bled Castle on Saturday, 30 September, at 11:00.
This year we will again be harvesting the grapes produced by a scion of the 450-year-old grapevine from Lent (Maribor, Slovenia). A scion of the world's oldest vine was grafted at Bled Castle in 2011 in celebration of the castle's 1000th anniversary. Although growing in rather difficult conditions, the vine has been thriving ever since.
Its caretakers and wine enthusiasts meet at Bled Castle at least twice a year: for the pruning and grape harvesting.
This year's harvest will take place on Saturday, 30 September at 11:00.
You will have the opportunity to see whether this year’s harvest is good and to taste Mladovita wine from last year's grape harvest. Admission to the event is subject to payment of the castle entrance fee.
