A rich medieval experience for all generations will begin on May 31 and reach its grand finale on June 6 and 7.
As part of the festivities, we invite visitors to step into a world of brave knights, elegant noble ladies, and playful jesters. Expect thrilling knight tournaments and performances at the castle, a lively craft market at the castle parking area, and the vibrant atmosphere of the medieval camp in the castle park.
AN EXPERIENCE FOR THE WHOLE FAMILY
Medieval Challenge
On Sunday, May 31, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., you are invited to the castle park for the Medieval Challenge. This interactive and entertaining experience features animators, workshops, and games. In a fun and educational way, visitors will discover the skills every good knight needed to master. The competition will take place from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
At 10 a.m., on the upper castle terrace, you can enjoy a dynamic performance by the medieval group KD IS Vitez Gašperja Lambergarja and guests. Come and experience the Middle Ages in your own way!
WHEN THE CASTLE COMES TO LIFE
Medieval Camp in the Castle Park
From June 1 to June 5, visitors are invited to explore the medieval camp in the castle park. You will have the opportunity to test your knightly skills or learn medieval dance steps. The camp will be hosted by the castle’s medieval group.
SATURDAY AND SUNDAY
The Grand Finale
On June 6 and 7, Bled Castle will host a vibrant program featuring medieval groups from Slovenia and abroad. A large craft market will take place at the castle parking area, while the castle park will offer various knightly activities and experiences.
The program will run on Saturday: 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Sunday: 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Join us and experience medieval life up close!
Entry to the venues in the castle park and the castle parking area is free, while admission to the castle itself requires a ticket. As a higher number of visitors is expected on this day, we recommend purchasing tickets in advance via the Bled Castle website (www.blejski-grad.mojekarte.si).
Free shuttle transport to the castle will be available from the Blejski grad 2 parking area (Rečiška cesta 2, Bled). Visitors can also reach the castle via marked walking paths.
With the activities in the castle park on June 6 and 7, we are joining the European initiative Rendez-vous aux jardins (“Meet in the Gardens”). Held in more than twenty European countries under this year’s theme Views, the initiative invites visitors to discover the diversity and richness of parks and gardens while highlighting their cultural significance and positive impact on well-being.

The Legend of Veronika of Desenice
In the Bitenč Hall at Bled Castle, the exhibition The Legend of Veronika of Desenice will be on display from April 1 to June 12, offering insight into one of the most dramatic yet romantic stories of medieval history.
This is a guest exhibition through which the Institute for Culture Bled and the Museums of Hrvatsko Zagorje continue their successful collaboration.
Vida – Ejti Štih
The exhibition Vida by academic painter Ejti Štih explores relationships between men and women, as well as questions of power, social roles, and machismo that have accompanied humanity throughout history.

Muzika - Ejti Štih
Bled Castle will host works by academic painter Ejti Štih throughout this summer. Her works will be exhibited in two gallery spaces: the STOLP Gallery and the Bitenec Hall.
