You can buy tickets at the castle ticket office or online. Prices vary depending on the age of visitors and any applicable discounts.

You can get to the castle:

• On foot: Via several marked paths, such as the Rikli Trail or the path from Slovenski trg.
• By car: There is a parking lot available for private vehicles near Bled Castle. Another parking lot is located below the castle.
• By bicycle: Bicycles can be parked at the racks in front of the castle walls.
• By carriage: Access by traditional carriage is also possible.

Yes, the path from the parking lot to the ticket office is quite steep (incline up to 34°). It is a paved slope with a significant gradient and may be challenging for:

• People with limited mobility

• Elderly visitors

• Families with strollers

• Cyclists parking below

Comfortable footwear and enough time for the ascent are recommended. The path can be slippery in winter or rainy weather. If you have mobility issues, please consult the staff in advance about access options.

Yes, dogs are allowed at Bled Castle, but they must be kept on a leash at all times. It’s important to note that dogs are not allowed inside the castle buildings, such as museum rooms, galleries, the print shop, and the chapel. However, they are welcome to explore all the castle’s outdoor areas with you, including courtyards, terraces, and viewpoints.

Access to the castle includes steep paths, which may be challenging for people with limited mobility. It is recommended to consult the castle staff for additional information before your visit.

It is recommended to reserve at least two (2) hours for visiting Bled Castle. This includes:

• A tour of the castle museum, featuring exhibitions about the history of the castle and Bled

• A visit to the room above the museum with temporary authentic exhibitions

• A stop at the castle print shop and wine cellar (learn about the history of printing and the old method of bottling wine from barrels)

• Enjoying the view of Lake Bled and taking photos

• A drink with dessert at the café or a meal at the castle restaurant

All of this can be combined into a half-day visit to Bled Castle. If you’re a fan of local history and take more time to explore the exhibitions, while also treating yourself to a meal with the most beautiful view, you’ll enjoy a full-day experience at Bled Castle.

No permission is required for non-commercial photography and filming.

Drone flights over Bled Castle are not permitted. Flying is only allowed over the lake and from an appropriate distance.
