Plan your wedding
To have a wedding at Bled Castle, you will first need to book the date and time of your civil wedding ceremony with the Radovljica Administrative Unit or Bled Registry Office. Weddings start at 3pm, in one-hour intervals, and are held on all days except Sundays.
Fifteen minutes before the agreed time, your wedding party will be met at the parking place by a courtier, who will take you to the fountain on the lower terrace. The ceremony continues with an address by the Lord and Lady of the Castle, who then invite the wedding guests to the Knights' Hall or to the lapidarium, wherever the ceremony is scheduled to be held.
The Knights' Hall can accommodate 100 persons, 70 seating, others standing. If the ceremony is held in the lapidarium on the upper courtyard, five additional chairs can be placed inside the structure to for those members of the wedding party that might find it difficult to stand throughout the ceremony. Several chairs can also be placed in the courtyard next to the lapidarium. The wedding ceremony is accompanied in part by live guitar music. The official part of the civil wedding ceremony takes about twenty minutes. The signing of the marriage certificate is followed by a toast to the newlyweds, and any additional services such as a tour of the wine cellar, printing works, medieval program, and others.
